จากชื่อคงรู้ละนะว่ามาจากภาษาฝรั่งเศส ซึ่งเมื่อวานมานี้ได้นั่งแยกคำดู ซึ่งก็ได้เป็น..

L'arc~en~ciel >>> Le arc en ciel
สำหรับคนที่เพิ่งเริ่มเรียนอย่างมาโกะ ก้อนั่งแปลแทบตาย แปลง่ายๆว่า รุ้งกินนํา (Rainbow)

และถ้าแปลแบบบ้าๆบอๆ ก็ได้ความหมายนี้เหมือนกัน แต่ดูแปลกๆไปหน่อยนะ

ciel >sky
The + bow + in,of + sky = RAiNBOW นะแหละ
ริ้บบิ้นบนท้องฟ้า ความหมายสวยเป็นบ้าเลยอ่ะ ไม่รู้ว่าพอรู้กันก่อนยังอ่ะ

แต่ทำไงได้ละ เพราะเริ่มเรียนSpirit of FRANCEก็เข้าสิง บวกความบ้าๆลาร์คด้วย ก็เลยเป็นเช่นนี้

ไหนๆพูดถึง ชื่อวงแล้ว เดี๊ยวเอาประวัติของแต่ละคนมาลงด้วยเลยแล้วกันน้า..

1. Hyde (VOCAL)
Also known as L'Arc~en~Ciel's "Mystery Man". Officially we aren't supposed to know. XD! For a long time simple things like his birthday or his real name, were kept 'secret'. Eventually these little facts did leak out. I'm not too sure about this but I believe it was Tetsu that mentioned Hyde's real name for the first time in an interview (?); which is Hideto Takarai. You probably can't tell from his looks but he's probably much older then you think he might is. Most sites agree that he was born on January 29th in the year 1969 (although some still mention 1968). Originally he's from the Wakayama area in the Osaka province. In April 1998 he met his current wife Megumi Ooishi when they were guests on the program Utaban on Japanese television. They really hit it off and on the 25th of December 2000 they got married. Hyde became a father in November 2003. The sex of the child is still unknown.

Other little interesting facts:
- Hyde is colorblind.
- Hyde collects blue glass items. Apparently that's a color he can see.
- He likes scary novels and his youth sentiment is "Kamen Rider" (compare it to Superman). It's a Japanese TV show.
- He has a talent for drawing.
- Hyde has a tattoo of angel's wings on his back, across his shoulders. It was done somewhere in 2000.
- Hyde is an only child.
- Hyde aka his royal shortness: about 1.57m.
- Hyde smokes. Apparently 'light' cigarettes

2.Tetsu (Best Bass for me)
Also known as L'Arc~en~Ciel's "leader". His real name is Ogawa Tetsuya, hence Tetsu. He has two younger sisters and is the only one in the band that doesn't smoke. His birthday is October 3rd 1969. He is/ has gone out with Kaori Mochida (Every Little Thing) and by now I picked up someplace that he's getting married. I don't know if it's to Kaori though (?).

Other little interesting facts:
- Tetsu likes anime (Gundam, Evangelion) <-- ชอบเหมือนกันเยยๆ
- Tetsu likes bananas. Watch any live.
- Tetsu had a period of wearing platform shoes. They made him look really tall, but he's actually about 1.67m.

3.Ken (Guitar)
L'Arc~en~Ciel's "Lover Boy". His real name is Ken Kitamura. His birthday is the 28th of November 1968 and he has one older sister. Ken has been married twice, but his last divorce is not yet confirmed.Ken quit university so he could devote himself to L'Arc~en~Ciel.

Other little interesting facts:
- Ken is probably the heaviest smoker out of the four; he often plays the guitar while smoking.
- Ken is known (next to Hyde) as the bands' most extravagant dresser.
- Ken is known for his dirty jokes.
- Ken loves food (and can eat a lot of it).

4.Yukihiro,Yukki-chan (Great Drum)

Call him Mr. Shy and you'll be correct. His real name is Awaji Yukihiro. His birthday is November 24th, birth year unknown. His hometown seems to be Chiba. Yukihiro was not the original drummer of L'Arc~en~Ciel even though we cannot imagine Laruku without him anymore. Before L'Arc he was in a band called Zi:Kill and later on: Die in Cries.

Other little interesting facts:
- Yukihiro has a real sweet tooth.
- Yukihiro is 1.65m.
- Yukihiro smokes.
